When entering swimmers into the Regional Championships, be mindful there is an expectation that a Guardian/Parent will commit to a timekeeping slot on the roster, duration of around 2 hours. For Tasmanian swimmers to be able to register an official time, HC time keepers are required for all meets. Time keeping requires a person to click a button when a orange light is activated at the start of the race and then press two button with the swimmer touches the wall. One timekeeper also be tasked to record the times off the stop watches. There is always a chief timekeeper who is able to assist new people to the role.
Further information on time-keeping and other official roles can be found here.
