Based out of Collegiate Pool and the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre, the HC Swim Club is the largest competitive, inclusive swimming club in Tasmania. In 2022, HC Swim Club was named the Tasmanian Swimming Club of the Year.
Many of our swimmers compete at regional (local - Hobart), state and national level, in and out of the pool. A number of our swimmers are leaders within the swimming community and have been selected for Swimming Australia development opportunities. Our coaches are all fully Swimming Australia qualified and participate in Professional Development on a regular basis. HC Swim Club also has the only Performance Coach in Tasmania. The philosophy of our swim club is based on individuals learning a skill that they can use throughout their lives, through developing goal-setting, time management, remaining active, self-regulation and resilience. Our club is known for retaining swimmers into their adult life, still enjoying the sport of swimming.
We strive to inspire, support and prepare our members to achieve their personal best while striving for excellence. The Club, thanks to our dedicated Coaches, has the most comprehensive training programs in the state. Swimmers work closely with the coaching staff to develop their swimming skills. We focus on community by facilitating seasonal meeting with swimmers' parents to outline relevant topics in relation to development, communication, role of the coach, role of the parent and structure within the swimming community.
