Based out of Collegiate Pool and the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre, HC Swim Club, prides itself on providing the highest quality swimming training for all age groups and abilities, using the most up to date coaching techniques. Several of our swimmers have represented Tasmania at a national and international level. Most recently five swimmers and our coach represented Tasmania in the New Zealand Short Course Championships with multiple swimmers making finals and medalling at this high level of competition.
At HC Swim Club, we are dedicated to inspiring, supporting, and preparing our members to achieve their personal best while striving for excellence. Our highly experienced and qualified coaches proudly offer an environment where the training standards and racing performances are some of the best nationally.
We believe in fostering a sense of community within our club. That's why we organise regular monthly club nights with swimmers and families to bring the community together and practice the skills practiced in training.
Many of our swimmers compete at various levels, from regional (Hobart) to state and open national competitions (Olympic Trials). Some of our swimmers have even been selected for development opportunities by Swimming Australia. Most recently, a number of our swimmers achieved national finals and medaled at the Australian Age Nationals. Our coaches are very experienced and fully qualified by Swimming Australia and regularly participate in professional development to stay up to date with the latest coaching techniques.
One unique aspect of HC Swim Club is our focus on long-term athlete development. We believe that swimming is a skill that can benefit individuals throughout their lives. By emphasising setting targets, time management, remaining active, self-regulation, and resilience, we help our swimmers build important life skills. It's no wonder that many of our members continue to enjoy the sport of swimming well into their adult lives.
