-Learning to Swim Fly, Back, Breast, Free, Turns and Dives - Introduction to racing at Club Nights - 2-3 sessions recommended each week - 6 sessions offered to provide flexibility Monday - Friday 4.00pm - 5.pm and Saturday 8.00am - 9.00am
REGIONAL SQUAD
- Swimmers have an understanding of all four strokes and learning IM swimming - Racing Mainly 50m and 100m - Training towards Regional Championships - Attend 3-4 sessions per week - A flexible 6 sessions per week to choose to attend - All sessions at Collegiate Pool to provide team culture activities and high quality stroke development
HC recognises that swimmers may have different goals, which is why we offer two pathways from State Bronze
STATE SQUAD
- Training towards Tasmanian State Championships - 4-5 Sesson recommended per week - 1 session offered in long course pool at times through the year - Optional gym sessions offered on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings - 7 sessions offered to provide flexiblity throughout the year - Coach Support at State Level Competitions
TARGET SQUAD
- Working towards Interstate Championship meets - Recommended 5-6 sessions per week - 8 sessions provided to provide flexiblity throughout the year - Optional gym sessions offered on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings - Learn to maintain efficency through a distance and learn to hold pace - Coaches travel to support swimmers at interstate events
NATIONAL SQUAD
- Working towards or hold a National Qualifying time - 6-8 sessions recommended - 9 sessions offered to provide flexinlity throughout the year - Main sessions: Monday AM & PM Wednesday PM Thursday AM & PM Saturday Am - Coaches travel to support swimmers at interstate events
Swimmers may slide between our competitive squad and H2O Squad based on where they are at
- Designed to support swimmers who may wish to focus on different goals - 1.5 hour sessions, focus on fitness, skill development & enjoyment of swimming - Not attending race meets outside of Collegiate Pool - Provides space for competitive swimmers to remain connected to the water whilst recovering - Promotes physical and emotional wellbeing
